In November last, Dan Teodorovici has given talks at the TU Darmstadt and at the University of Cambridge.

At the Technical University of Darmstadt, Dan gave an address on ’Vom Tropischen Bauen’ zur ‘Internationalen Urbanistik‘, based on his current research for the DFG funded project From ‚Planning and Building in Developing Countries‘ to ‚International Urbanism’ (2023–25). Dan’s talk of 23 November 2023 is part of the lecture series ‘Tropenbau’ – Building the Tropics into the Curriculum organized by Dr. Frederike Lausch and Adrian Franco to accompany their seminar of the same title during the winter term 2023/24. The seminar focuses on the former “Institut für Tropenbau” (Institute of Tropical Architecture), which had been managed by lecturers Manfred Niermann† and Jörg Sierig from 1968 to 1980 at the Department of Architectural Design and Industrial Building Technology led by Professor Günter Behnisch (1922-2010) from 1967 to 1987. After Dan’s talk, Jörg Sierig answered questions from the audience.
