Sustainable Building and Housing. Urban living for Stuttgart and the region, at present and in the future. Forum of the Alliance 2030 mOne Stuttgart – mOne World from 17.11. to 19.11.2022.
Sustainability in both construction and housing, and in the design of living space according of the common good are becoming ever more important as, in view of the climate crisis, the construction and building sector accounts for more than one third of global CO2 emissions.
Especially in big cities, new affordable and climate-friendly housing must be created and existing housing must be renovated accordingly. It is of particular importance to find and work with sustainable alternatives to some of the currently used concepts, techniques, and materials.
In this three-day forum, we as a civil society wish to bring together scientific and practical expertise beneficial to deepening and enlarging our knowledge of such topical issues. We will be discussing approaches and ideally find practical solution proposals for advancing the building, energy and climate change in the Stuttgart region.
The events reflect the diverse expertise of the supporting institutions, and so address the complexity of “sustainable building and living”s.
Further information can be found in the flyer.
