We are delighted to welcome a delegation of academics and students from the University of Zambia (UNZA) at the Department and deepen our partnership in research and teaching. Dr Gilbert Siame, lecturer and researcher in City and Regional Planning at the Department of Geography at UNZA, received DAAD study visit funding and will come to Stuttgart with a group of researchers and students in May 2025.
Dr Siame and the UNZA delegation will particiate in a workshop on delivering affordable housing and a symposium on transdisciplinary reserach in urban environment. Researchers and students from Lusaka and Stuttgart will present and discuss their ongoing research in seminars and public talks, exchange ideas and develop plans for future collaborations in research and teaching, and join teaching in the MSc IUSD programme.
The UNZA delegation will visit the Department of International Urbanism from 19-23 May 2025.
