Dr. Olumuyiwa Adegun took part in 5th AAPS Conference

On 20th of November visiting researcher Dr. Olumuyiwa Adegun presented his research in the context of Dar es Salaam “Coping with heat stress in unplanned urban settlements” at the 5th conference of the Association of African Planning Schools (AAPS).

The presentation highlights how poor urban residents in an unplanned settlement (Keko Machungwa, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania) respond to increasing temperature and heat stress in the light of climate change. It emanated from collaborative research project with scholars at the Institute of Human Settlements Studies, Ardhi University, Dare es Salaam.
