Astrid Ley will participate in a talk on „Building without concrete“

BAUEN OHNE BETON / BUILDING WITHOUT CONCRETE contributes to a call to order regarding sustainability. The talk will address problems of climate-damaging cement and concrete production, limited recycling and the increasing scarcity of sand as a resource. This involves exploring a fundamental change of mindset and habit in construction along with questioning the current consumption of land and the financialization of living space. What does a New Way of Building look like?

Astrid Ley will join the conversation together with Professor Martin Ostermann (Institute of Building Design, University of Stuttgart), and Student Council representatives (University of Stuttgart, Faculty of Architecture and Urban Planning). The panel will be presented by Professor Philip Leistner, Director of the Institute for Acoustics and Building Physics, University of Stuttgart.

This event is part of a series of talks and workshops to accompany the exhibition »anima ona«.
