The Go Glocal! project was officially kicked off on 9 July 2021. The launch of this joint initiative between Windhoek, Namibia and Stuttgart, Baden-Württemberg was attended by members of the partner institutions including the Department of International Urbanism of the Institute of Urban Planning and Design (SI) and the Institute of Energy Economics and Rational Energy Use (IER) at the University of Stuttgart, the Department of Architecture and Spatial Planning at the Namibia University of Science and Technology (NUST), the Namibia Energy Institute (NEI) at NUST, and students from the ASA Programme. The event focused on creating a common ground for collaboration and looked at the first GoGlocal Learning Dialogue to take place mid-October 2021.
The project is funded by the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Science, Research and the Arts (MWK).
